IGF-1 LR3 is a synthetic analog of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) with two structural modifications: an arginine substitution at position 3 and an extended N-terminal sequence. These modifications reduce binding affinity for IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs), increasing the proportion of free IGF-1 available for receptor interaction. The compound is referenced in research literature on IGF-receptor pathway signaling and growth pathway research models.
